Eves to Compete in the ROK World Finals in Lonato, Italy
Braden Eves will fly to Lonato, Italy on September 10th to compete for VemmeKart at the ROK World Finals. Earlier this year, Eves claimed his second SKUSA victory on his very first weekend in a Vemme chassis; he stayed with the Italy-based chassis manufacturer for SKUSA Summernats, where he was again victorious in the X30 Senior class.
In Lonato, Eves will compete against 58 other drivers in the Rok Senior category. In total, there will be 413 drivers from 47 countries and 5 continents spread across 5 classes of competition: Mini Rok, Junior Rok, Senior Rok, Shifter Rok, and Super Rok. This will be his first international karting competition, but he stated “I am confident in my ability to adapt to different tracks and different conditions; I believe I will get up to speed quickly and be in contention for a win.”
The 18-year-old high school senior said that he’s excited to race in Europe, Eves stated “It will be a busy couple of weeks, with the Rok Cup International Finals, then flying back to the United States to catch the final round of F4 U.S. Championship the following week, it should be a great experience.” Overall, Eves is looking forward to the race and is hoping to bring home a good result for VemmeKart and Jay Howard’s MDD.
